Simply an observation

I've heard this approach used by instructors of disciplines ranging from voice to yoga.

"Simply make an observation. This is where you are today."

"Let go of self-criticism and judgement."
For many, there is a familiar habit of self-criticism and judgement associated with self-observation. Familiar though this habit may be, it often hinders the student's progress.

The impact of spam

[Edited to add, this is an entry for Andrea's Monday style challenge. Her post is here.]

Interested in joining the war on spam? Drop by Project Honey Pot and among other things, learn How to Avoid Being Harvested by Spambots. For a detailed study on the effectiveness on an obfuscation method, have a read over at Nikita The Spider's excellent article Ingen Reklam, Tack (No Spam, Please). A primer on spam can be found at CDT.org's article Why Am I Getting All This Spam?

Can anyone out there recommend a strong PHP formmail script?

Spray Paint Art

This fellow's got more control over a can of spray paint than I do over a 2B pencil!

Lesson 9A / 10 (Model Sheets) - Part 2 (Skeleton)

(This is either Lesson 9A or Lesson 10, depending on whether you're following JohnK's numbering or the number at ASIFA.)

The $100,000 Animation Drawing Course - Lesson 9A/10 (also seen at ASIFA-Hollywood)

Notes:

  • For some reason I found it impossible to find my groove with this page
  • It didn't help that the drawings in the book I have differ from the first edition
  • Proportions continue to haunt me
  • Here's hoping the next sheet goes more smoothly

Lookie what I got today!

new_cover

Which some of you may better know as this:

old_cover

Love having my own copy of the book! It's OK working from the copies that Steve Worth had generously provided over at the Animation Archive. But there's nothing quite like having your very own copy!

Between the book and all of the model sheets I've got to work on, I could be kept busy for years! Hope to be back soon.
